Itinerary
Depart from Marrakech and drive toward the Atlantic coast, arriving in Agadir. Enjoy a day exploring Agadir’s beaches, the scenic coastal promenade, and bustling souks. You’ll also have time to visit the Agadir Kasbah, which offers panoramic views over the city and coastline. In the evening, relax at a beachfront café or try some local seafood at a seaside restaurant.
After breakfast, head east to the ancient city of Taroudant, often called “Little Marrakech” for its traditional architecture and vibrant souks. Discover the historic city walls, stroll through the lively markets, and experience Taroudant’s unique ambiance. Visit artisan workshops and perhaps try traditional Moroccan crafts or buy locally-made goods.
Today, continue south through the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the village of Tafraoute, surrounded by surreal rock formations and almond groves. Explore the nearby “Painted Rocks,” vibrant boulders transformed by Belgian artist Jean Vérame. The day includes discovering local Berber villages, taking scenic walks, and admiring Tafraoute’s unique desert and mountain landscapes.
Depart Tafraoute and make your way northwest to Essaouira, a charming coastal city known for its artistic atmosphere and well-preserved medina. Arriving by early afternoon, explore the ramparts, bustling souks, and artisan shops. Walk along the beach and enjoy the relaxed, bohemian vibe of Essaouira before concluding your tour.
