Itinerary
Begin the adventure by crossing the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, making your way to Ait Ben Haddou. Explore this UNESCO-listed ksar, famous for its traditional clay architecture and cinematic landscapes. After a guided tour, spend the night in Ait Ben Haddou.
Travel eastward, passing through Ouarzazate and the “Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs” to reach the beautiful Dades Valley. Along the way, stop at local kasbahs and marvel at the unique rock formations and lush valleys. Overnight in the Dades Valley.
Head toward the desert oasis of Merzouga, crossing Todra Gorge and experiencing the dramatic, towering canyon walls. Arrive in Merzouga and set out on a camel trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying a night under the stars in a traditional desert camp.
Depart Merzouga and journey north through the Ziz Valley and the mountain pass of Tizi n’Talghemt. Arrive in Midelt, nestled between the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you’ll enjoy the serene landscapes and a relaxed evening.
Today, continue north through the cedar forests and Berber villages of the Middle Atlas, stopping to see the Barbary macaques at Azrou. Arrive in Fes, where you’ll settle in and prepare to explore one of Morocco’s oldest imperial cities.
Spend a full day exploring Fes, a city rich in history and culture. Visit the medieval medina, Al Qarawiyyin University, Chouara Tannery, and artisan quarters, experiencing the vibrant, authentic charm of Fes.
Depart from Fes and travel north to Chefchaouen, the famous “Blue City” nestled in the Rif Mountains. Explore the city’s enchanting blue-washed streets, small artisan shops, and panoramic viewpoints.
Leave Chefchaouen behind and head to Tangier, a historic coastal city with a mix of Mediterranean and Atlantic influences. Visit the medina, the Kasbah, and the lively markets, and take in views of the Strait of Gibraltar.
Conclude your journey with a drive from Tangier to Casablanca, Morocco’s largest city and economic hub. In Casablanca, visit the iconic Hassan II Mosque, located along the coast, and experience the city’s modern and historical contrasts.
